Spray it two to three times on clean, dry skin at the sides of your neck or the inside of your wrists, then let it dry without rubbing. Put it on while you get ready, before you leave. If it is unscented, it goes on first, under your usual cologne or perfume.

Shop for Men Shop for WomenHow many sprays of pheromone cologne should I use?
Two to three sprays. That is the dose printed on every one of our cartons, and it is the right place to start. Two is plenty for a dinner or a quiet bar. Use three for a bigger room or a longer night. More than that does not add anything useful.
With a scented formula, going past three sprays mostly makes the fragrance louder, and a strong scent is the first thing people notice for the wrong reason. With an unscented formula, extra sprays are simply wasted product. Start at two, see how the evening goes, and adjust from there.
Where should I put it?
On the sides of your neck or the inside of your wrists, the same spots you would put a regular cologne or perfume. Our cartons direct it to the neck or wrists. Both are uncovered skin, close to where people stand when they talk to you, and easy to reach in a hurry.

A simple split works well: one spray on each side of the neck, and a third on one wrist if you want it. Spray onto skin, not onto a shirt collar or a scarf, so it dries the way it is meant to.
When should I put it on?
While you are getting ready to go out, as one of the last steps before you leave. After a shower and once your skin is dry is ideal. Put it on at home, not in the parking lot or the restroom once you have arrived. It is meant to be part of the first impression, not added halfway through it.
The alcohol in a spray dries within a minute or two, so a few minutes between applying it and getting dressed is all you need. That also keeps it off the inside of a collar.
Pick the one you would actually wear.
Scented is a fragrance you wear on its own. Unscented goes under the cologne or perfume you already own. Aware is unscented too, unisex, and dosed lighter for work and everyday.

Every one of these is covered by the same 60-day guarantee, opened bottles included.
Can I wear it with my regular cologne or perfume?
Yes, if you use an unscented formula. Put the unscented pheromone spray on first, let it dry, then apply your usual cologne or perfume over it, slightly lighter than normal. You keep your signature scent and add the pheromone blend underneath. A scented formula is a fragrance in its own right, so wear it alone.
Our unscented versions are made for exactly this: Max Attraction for Men, Unscented and Max Attraction for Women, Unscented. Each is the same blend as its scented pair, with no fragrance added. If you are weighing a spray against an oil for layering, our guide to pheromone oil vs spray covers how each one wears.
Should I rub it in?
No. Spray it on and let it dry on its own. Rubbing your wrists together or wiping the spot with your fingers smears it around and leaves some of it on your hands instead of your skin where you put it. Give it a minute, then get dressed or move on to the rest of your routine.
Do I need to reapply during the night?
Most people put it on once before going out and leave it there. If you are heading somewhere new after dinner and want a top-up, one spray is enough, done in private before you arrive. Never spray it in the middle of a conversation; it goes on before you go out, not once you are already talking to someone.
What are the most common mistakes?
The usual ones are using too much, stacking a scented formula on top of another cologne, applying it after arriving instead of before leaving, and judging it on a single night. Two to three sprays, one fragrance at a time, put on at home, and a fair run of evenings out covers all four.
That last point matters. One evening tells you very little, because every night out is different. Wear it for a few outings in the situations you care about before you decide. That is what our 60-day guarantee is for: try it properly, opened bottles included, and if it is not for you, send it back.
Which one should I start with?
Pick by how you want to wear it. If you want one bottle that is your fragrance for the night, choose a scented formula. If you already have a cologne or perfume you love, choose unscented and wear it underneath. For work and everyday, choose Aware, which is unscented, unisex and dosed lighter.
For men, the scented option is Max Attraction GOLD. For women, it is Max Attraction Silk. For the office or daytime, it is Aware.
Still deciding? Our buyer's guide walks through it, or the short quiz will point you at one bottle. Whichever you choose, it is covered by our 60-day guarantee, opened bottles included.
